After being inactive for a very long time, the idea of coming back to the blog with all the weeks and weeks of backlog content seems far too daunting to tackle. The farther out I go from my last post, the more it builds. I worry about how I'm going to incorporate all the lost time; mini logs, long sprawling posts, just starting from scratch?

I decided mostly on the latter.

Hi, its been awhile and I'm sorry for that /(ㄒoㄒ)/~~

Let's start with the big things...

Finished junior year of uni, barely scraped by with my grades, moved back in with my Mom. I'll be staying with her for awhile. I'll miss being in an apartment down in Redmond...but working with the school's housing department was much too difficult to make comp'ed dorm living worth it. My Mom is a major source of joy in my life, and it is nice to live in a house with pantries always stocked and bills always paid...rent free...so yeah, it's not a bad deal at all! Plus I get to snuggle with my cat. I'm dreading the commute back up to Redmond everyday once school starts up, but it'll only be one more year! Relieving and daunting.

I'm trying hard to find work. I guess even part-time jobs are hard to come by now.

Decorating my room is fun! Setting up all my little trinkets fills my heart with sparkles.

I've felt as though I've leveled up in gal recently. Or maybe it's that I leveled up a while ago and I'm only just now realizing it...

My base make is good, I've found a droop that looks gal, and I know parts of an outfit that read well on my body. Drop waists, or the illusion of a drop waist--with a longer shirt or belt lower on the abdomen--balance my proportions well. Drop waists work well to communicate the 90's-00's feel in my outfits, whereas high waists are a very modern look, though its almost completely unavoidable to find low-waisted items nowadays.

Whew. Okay. That's about as much catch-up as I can handle.

As for more recent things...

Reading manga again! Picked up Tokyo Mewmew Omnibus at my library. The art is very cute. I had no idea it was about animal extinction?

It's very rainy here and it tanks my mood & makes me sleepy. I've been crawling at a snail's pace to set up my room...its mostly one corner at a time.

Back into Splatoon again as well! Why did I ever stop playing .96 gal deco?

And finally, some selfies & other pics.

I should set up a deadline for when I upload...maybe twice a week? I'll think about it...

Until then!

WEEK IN REVIEW

Busy busy busy!

I've been wanting to update the blog for awhile but I'd come home after school completely exhausted . I have tons of pics and deets to share since my last posts so buckle up!!

The next two entries will also be backlog posts I started but didn't finish, then after those two will be about the first Prysmique meet I could attend!

The past week, I was felt girly and sweet. I bought some new lashes from Amazon that allowed me to stack em up, kinda drag queen style! I really love fine-tuning my bottom lash setup.

Since I'm rewatching Sailor Moon, I wanted to try giving myself twin buns!  Here's Tuesday's co*de, a himekaji inspired look:

I woke up too late to do my make before class, but I still loved this casual but sexy fit! This sweater belt combo is one of my all time favs

On Sunday, my boyfriend took me out on an AMAZING date, all planned himself. He brought me to a pasta place with the tastiest short rib bolognaise, and then he treated to Salt & Spoon ice cream (the salted cookie dough is BOMB).

After our food, he suprised me by taking me to an archery range! It's a place for those who do archery professionally and casually, but they also offer open hours for people who just want to try it out! It was hard but actually so much fun and something I honestly feel I could practice. If I had the money and time I could totally see myself shooting arrows with a pink, sparkly bow...

Through thick and thin he always cares for me and I couldn't ask for anything or anyone else

My focus areas to practice this week were lashes and co*des
. I tried to nail that gyaru silhouette with the coordinated clothing and sometimes without makeup. I don't want to make a habit of not wearing make, but its a good challenge to be recognizably gal without it. It pushes me to be more intentional with my styling than to rely on my make as a crutch.

Please let me know how I did in the comments below! I'd love to hear from y'all!
